Mirua Terms of Service — English Reference
Revision: 1.5.0
Effective date: 2026-10-20
Last revised: 2026-09-20
Reference document: English Privacy Policy
This is a reference translation. The Korean terms govern Korean users. The Japanese terms govern Japanese users together with mandatory Japanese consumer protections. In case of any discrepancy, the applicable Korean or Japanese version prevails.
1. Operator and contract
Mirua is operated by OH YUJUN, Korean business registration number 339-29-01761. Address: Unit 901-346, 9F, 33 Dongtanjungsimsangga 1-gil, Dongtan-gu, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do 18455, Republic of Korea. Contact: [email protected] and +82-70-8058-8479.
These Terms, the AI and Community Policy, the Reward Policy, and the Youth Policy form the service agreement. The Privacy Policy is a separate notice that describes Mirua's data processing and your rights; it is not part of the contract, and confirming that you have read it is not treated as blanket consent to all processing. Rights-infringement reports and counter-statements follow the Copyright Reporting Policy.
2. Eligibility and account
- You must be at least 14 years old. This is a self-declaration, not identity verification. Where Mirua has reasonable grounds to believe that a user is under 14 (for example from age information, the holder of a payment method, the user's own statements, or reports), it may restrict use after verification and carry out the necessary account-deletion procedure. A minor must obtain a legal representative's consent where applicable law requires it for a purchase or contract. Where applicable law allows a minor's contract to be cancelled, Mirua verifies the facts and restores the original state through cancellation, refund, and reclamation of granted items.
- Registration uses an authentication method made available by Mirua.
- You must protect your account and may not impersonate another person, use false identity information, evade enforcement, or automate mass accounts.
3. Current service boundary
Mirua currently provides AI character chat, character and story browsing and private creation, support, free in-service rewards, and participation records.
Mirua does not currently sell subscriptions, paid credits (diamonds), or user creations, and does not provide cash redemption, gift cards, third-party merchant payments, or a public user-content marketplace. Mirua does not offer random-outcome rewards whose results vary by chance. Donation tokens record participation; they are not transfers of user money or tax-deductible donations.
Paid diamonds are offered only after the store products, prices, refund terms, purchase UI, and server verification are enabled. Before any other paid or redeemable feature launches, Mirua will publish the price, the cancellation and refund conditions, and the required statutory disclosures, and will obtain any required consent.
Monthly membership can be purchased only after sales and the store product catalog are activated. After activation, server verification of store transactions manages subscription status, service periods and daily benefit claims. Membership is distinct from a one-time purchase of paid diamonds.
4. AI disclosure
AI characters generate responses probabilistically. Responses can be wrong, inconsistent, or uncomfortable. Mirua identifies the service and its outputs as AI-generated content.
AI responses are not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, mental-health, or emergency professionals. Do not present an AI response as a real person's or institution's official statement.
You may not remove or hide the AI-generated label that Mirua provides. Where Mirua provides voice, images, or video that are hard to distinguish from real ones, it labels them so that users can clearly recognize that they were generated by AI.
AI characters are not people or counselors who provide emotional care, and they do not require you to use the service to maintain a relationship. If using the service feels like it is replacing your daily life or relationships, reduce your usage and seek help from people around you or a professional.
5. Your content and rights
You retain rights you lawfully hold in your content. You grant Mirua non-exclusive permission, limited to providing, storing, displaying, backing up, and safety-checking that content. The permission ends after account deletion and any mandatory retention period.
Before adopting user content into the official catalog, Mirua obtains work-specific express consent for its official catalog and Mirua-owned channels, Korea- and Japan-targeted promotion, attribution, localization, minimal service-format editing, and withdrawal. Public internet content may be accessible from other regions. The license lasts one year from consent and does not renew automatically. It also covers reproduction. You may withdraw it at any time even before expiry; upon expiry or withdrawal, Mirua stops future publication and use without undue delay, and reusing the same work or expanding the scope requires your new consent.
For adoption into the official catalog, you represent and warrant that the work does not infringe copyright, portrait or name rights, trademarks or other rights. Mirua may review rights before adoption, refuse adoption when infringement is confirmed or reasonably suspected, or immediately deactivate content already adopted.
Do not submit material that violates copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights. Mirua does not guarantee that AI output qualifies for exclusive rights or differs from third-party output. Check rights before external publication or commercial use.
Parts generated automatically by AI without human creative contribution generally do not attract copyright. Protection for parts with human creative contribution depends on that contribution and applicable law.
6. Prohibited conduct
Mirua does not provide adult, obscene, or explicit sexual content at any age. You may not engage in any of the following:
- adult, obscene, or explicit sexual content; child or youth sexual exploitation; non-consensual sexual content; or conduct promoting illegal trade or the commission of crimes;
- specifically inducing self-harm or suicide, or worsening an emergency;
- impersonating another person, or falsely presenting something as a real person's actual statement;
- removing or hiding Mirua's AI-generated label, or presenting AI output as human-made;
- collecting or disclosing personal or credential information without authorization, or harassing or threatening others;
- exploiting service vulnerabilities, automation abuse, reward manipulation, multiple accounts, device or session forgery, reverse engineering, or interfering with operations;
- abusing the report system, fabricating evidence, or repeatedly infringing others' rights.
7. Moderation and appeals
Mirua may use automated safeguards and human review. Depending on severity, it may warn, hide content, restrict a feature temporarily, or suspend an account. Unless immediate safety, security, or evidence-preservation needs prevent it, Mirua gives the reason, duration, affected feature, and appeal route.
Mirua does not impose a permanent ban or revoke all confirmed rewards solely on the basis of an automated decision. Emergency measures receive human review. Appeals may be filed through in-app support or by email at [email protected] within 30 days of the notice of the measure. Mirua answers with the result and its reasons within 15 days of receipt, and the review is handled by a person who was not involved in the original decision. If Mirua cannot answer in time, it first explains why and when to expect the answer.
8. Free internal rewards
Internal rewards are not cash, deposits, securities, prepaid payment instruments, or monetary claims against Mirua. Confirmed grants are not arbitrarily revoked except for proven error, duplicate grant, or abuse. The Reward Policy controls details. Free rewards do not currently give rise to any purchase refund or cash payment.
9. Paid diamonds and refunds
Paid diamonds are one-time consumable in-app products sold through Apple App Store or Google Play. Mirua verifies store transactions on its server and records paid and bonus diamonds separately. They do not expire because of inactivity. If a refund or charge reversal is confirmed, the diamonds and bonus granted from that purchase are reversed. A resulting negative diamond balance restricts only diamond purchases and use; free chat, legal documents, support, purchase history, and account deletion remain available. One refund does not automatically suspend the entire account.
The app's “Sync purchase history” action resubmits unfinished or pending transactions and refreshes the server wallet. It does not promise perpetual restoration of all previously consumed diamonds.
Statutory withdrawal and refund rights — including the seven-day withdrawal right under the Korean E-Commerce Act where applicable, and disclosed refund conditions under Japanese law — apply as stated in the governing Korean and Japanese versions and are not limited by this reference translation.
10. Changes and availability
Changes that do not affect rights or obligations, such as corrections of typographical errors, translation improvements, or contact-detail updates, are announced in the app at least 3 days before they take effect, and changes to rights or obligations that are not adverse to users are announced in the app at least 7 days before they take effect; neither requires renewed consent. Changes that are adverse to users or that change the scope of consent, such as adverse changes to reward conditions, usage restrictions, enforcement measures, account deletion, or dispute procedures, are announced in the app at least 30 days before they take effect and notified individually through in-app notices and an individual notice screen on your next access, and renewed consent is requested only for the items that changed. Continued use alone is not treated as consent where law requires specific consent.
Mirua may change or interrupt the service for safety, legal, technical, or operational reasons. Where possible, major termination or reduction is announced 30 days in advance and users are given an opportunity to wind down their accounts. Emergency incidents are explained after recovery without undue delay. If the service is terminated after paid diamonds have been enabled, Mirua will announce the schedule in advance and provide a reasonable opportunity to use remaining paid diamonds or receive a refund or settlement for unused paid balances as stated in the governing versions.
11. Account deletion
- You may request deletion in app settings. Active sessions and the push token are disabled immediately, followed by a seven-day recovery period.
- After the period, chats, memories, creations, device links, support content, current reward balances, inventory, progress, and attendance state are deleted, while public identifiers, profile fields, access or activity metadata, coupon display names, and reward-claim device identifiers are replaced with non-identifying substitute values.
- An AI response submitted through an output-specific quick report is separated from the account ID, user prompt, and full conversation history, and raw device and session references are replaced with hashes. It is deleted within 180 days after receipt; the access cutoff and retry procedure for failed deletion are described in Privacy Policy Section 4.
- A user-created item adopted into the official catalog is immediately deactivated and its internal creator linkage is removed; it is not republished without new, separate consent.
- A narrowly scoped internal linkage key may remain in access-restricted, pseudonymized reward and anti-abuse integrity records for one year by default and no more than five years, and is deleted earlier when the purpose ends; these records remain protected as personal data and are retained only for integrity checks through the internal linkage key separated from authentication data. Requesting account deletion is not a waiver of statutory refund rights; transaction records kept under mandatory retention are handled after identity and transaction verification.
12. Liability and disputes
Mirua applies reasonable safety and security measures and remains responsible under applicable law for harm caused by its intent or negligence. It does not guarantee the complete factual accuracy of AI output or its fitness for any particular purpose, but it does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including intentional or grossly negligent conduct and death or personal injury.
Korean law governs these Terms. A user who is a consumer habitually resident outside Korea keeps the protection of the mandatory rules of that country (Korean Private International Act, Article 47), and Japanese users retain mandatory Japanese consumer and forum protections. These Terms do not remove any mandatory consumer jurisdiction. Contact support first; unresolved disputes may be brought before a court with lawful jurisdiction.
The Korean version of these Terms is authoritative. The Japanese version is authoritative for the contract with users in Japan. The English version and any other language version are reference translations provided for convenience. For users outside Korea and Japan, the Korean version applies. Where a translation differs in meaning from the authoritative version, the authoritative version prevails; this does not limit protections you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
Notices whose required contents are prescribed by the law of a particular country — the e-commerce and paid diamond sales notice (Korean) and the Specified Commercial Transactions Act disclosure and the external transmission notice (Japanese) — are originals drafted in that country's language rather than translations, and the authoritative-version rule above does not apply to them.
Support requests are accepted at any time. Staffed support hours are Korean business days, 10:00–17:00 KST, excluding weekends and Korean public holidays. Mirua aims to provide an initial response within three business days.
